FAB OR FAIL: METALLIC OXFORDS

Something new that’s been catching my eye lately, literally, is seeing people with metallic oxfords! Being honest with you guys, I’ve never owned a pair of oxfords -metallic or any color. Because, and I know I shouldn’t feel like this, but I think there are some trends that I can love from afar and that look good on some people but not necessarily me.. Am I the only one? Anyway I think this trend is Fab! It’s such a simple way to add some shine to your shoe closet and make a statement without trying too hard. For those chic people, like me, who love black on black looks the silver colored ones make any outfit instantly glam. And the fact that there’s a menswear feel to it while not overpowering the look, makes me like this trend even more, because great menswear inspired pieces never seem to go out of style! I definitely don’t think they’re like an everyday shoe, because  I mean that’d be a bit much. But like on a weekend or every once in while at work? Absolutely.

I’ve seen the fashionably amazing Olivia Palermo (above) wear them with a skater skirt which I’d be cautious of replicating, because she’s Olivia Palermo. In terms of season, these are amazing for fall .Could you imagine like boyfriend jeans or wine colored skinnys with the shoes (like these) and a blazer?! Even a simple white button down, skinnys and a no collar- leather jacket? (Not specific at all) Love.
